Provides geographic information systems (GIS) and image processing support to a variety of civil government tasks. Responsibilities focused on collection, editing, storage of GIS spatial and statistical data. Weekly reporting and status update to both management and the Task Order Manager is also required. Other duties as assigned that relate to GIS.
A combination of both experience and education in Geography, Physical Science, Cartography/GIS(2 year GIS certificate program acceptable) or 1 year of specific GIS experience. ESRI Arc/GIS (ArcInfo, ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcPlot, AML) experience is required. The individual needs to have an understanding of spatial analysis and data management. Accompanying computer skills commensurate with previous GIS work(understanding of networks and data storage)
